Fluoro question

Featured Replies

Is there a certain fluoro line size that is not good to cast? As of now I use 14lb fireline crystal and it casts very very good with lipless cranks. I ask because i need a good bigger sized strong line for a set up that is for jigs and swimbaits. I don't want braid.

I'm not sure how big you're wanting to go but I regularly use 17-20lb test Berkley 100% fluoro for most of my jigs/tx rig/carolina rigs. I even do most of my flipping and pitching with the 20 lb fluoro. No problems from the line other than not retying as often as I should.

Also--KVD Line and Lure will help keep the line more supple and user-friendly. Strongly recommend that as well.
