Do polarized glasses really make a difference when you're out fishing.  If so, can anyone recommend a good pair that's reasonably priced. Thanks..

I agree they make a huge difference.  I personally like solor bats cause thats what I've been using the last few seasons and see no need to switch.  I would suggest an amber lens for overall fishing, although some might disagree.

X2 they are reasonable priced.I wouldnt go with the 15.99 wal mart specials.You gotta spend a little to get the desired quality but no reason to spend 300 bux just cuz it says costa del mar on it.

Yeah, they make a big difference. They are not only useful for spotting fish when they are shallow and/or spawning, but they are also even more useful for spotting important underwater structure. Amber brown is a good all around color. You can pick up an inexpensive pair from Wal-Mart or any tackle store for 10-20 bucks, or you can go all out and get a really nice one, like an Oakley, for 100-200 bucks,

When you're on land, you've only got sun coming from one direction.  When you're on the water, it's bouncing right up into your face.

Yes, the cheap Wally World glasses will work if you're sight fishing.  I've went through 5 or 10 pairs of those cheap Strike King glasses over the years.  But the quality of those lenses aren't the same as those in a pair of Ray Bans or Maui Jim's.

i agree 100 ,,,, i baught tons of the cheapys .....  after that i baught a pair of smith action optics .... never looked back .... the view is so much better through the smiths .... the smiths also did a way better job protecting my eyes ,,, no more strain at all ... they also have the photochromic lenses aviable .... these lenses will adjust to the light ,,, they get darker as the sun comes up and liter as the sun sets .... there killer ,,, i baught the shelters for 109.00 worth every penny ....  ;D

you can get costa del mars for well under $300 and I highly recomend them

Distortion-free, scratch resistance, precision ground and polished optical glass is by far the best choice that's why glass is used in the manufacture of binoculars, telescopes, spotting scopes & rifle scopes. If you choose to buy a quality pair of sunglasses consider glass lens as your #1 choice.

I was thinking in the $50 dollar range. Has anyone heard of sea striker glasses.  The reviews on basspro shops seems to be pretty good.  The water I fish is usually clear.  What color lense would be best for that.  Thanks in advance.
