Can you dye power pro with say rite dye i am looking a hi vis yellow on ebay for cheap but hate the color so can you dye it

As long as you use a mono or flouro leader, it doesnt matter what color the line is.

The material that superlines are made of is a natural white color and most of the lines on the market are dyed. I put a band of red color on my yellow line so the contrast makes it easier to see in all lighting conditions.

Or brown. Don't make it a solid color. Break it into broken marks. Better to break up a solid color instead of just changing from one solid color to another.

I try to only buy the bright colors, but I use leaders.

As was said above, a Sharpie will change it easily if that's what you want to do, and if you use green, you could go back over it with a brown, black, blue, or whatever if you wanted.

I actually color 1/2 the spool like you and Wayne as well. Really helps when line watching, and it looks pimp! ;D

personally I dislike leaders but thats just me...

I use Power Pro Yellow for my 15 pound test braid.  Red for ten, green for 20.

Mostly have used the yellow for fishing with jigs.  But have also used the red, with no noticable difference in catch rates.

I may swap colors, yellow for 10, and red for 15.  Most of my braid fishing is done with 10 pound test.  I prefer the yellow.  The red starts out a nice dark red, but quickly fades to a drab red.

It's just an esthetic preference.

NewAngler, I color my line with soft bait dye. The red I have is Color Rite and is unscented. You can use the scented dyes like Spike-It or a knock-off. I dip a q-tip in the bottle and apply the liquid to the reel spool.

This reel has Gold Stren Superbraid on it and was dyed about 2 years ago. The other one I posted was Yellow Daiwa Samurai and was done about a month ago.
