Light Lures......?????

Featured Replies

Im having trouble casting a 1/4 oz shallow crankbait on my crankbait setup.

My crankbait setup is a Daiwa TD Advantage with a 7' M Mod Action on 12 lb Seaguar Flourocarbon.

Do I have the right gear for throwing a 1/4 oz crankbait?

Maybe I just need to adjust my brakes and spool tension correctly right? Any tips plz...HELP!!

I have the same reel and have no problem throwing 1/8 oz cranks.  Adjust reel and educate your thumb.  Also might try droping to 8 or 10 lb flurocarbon.

That would be in the operator error department, if you can 't cast well a 1/4 oz bait with your reel then:

1.- Your tension knob is too tight

2.- Your line is too thick

3.- Your rod is too stiff
