im looking to buy one for jigs up to 1/2 ounce and weightless worms and small texas rigs how is the sensitivity i want a really sensitivity rod for under 150 and a reel for under a 150 dollars to perfom with jigs up to 1/2 and weightless worms . thank you so much guys

I have a 7'3 and a 6'9 MH Carrot I use for jigs and such up to 1/2 oz. Love them both. The other cheap jig rod I have is an 7'6" Airrus Co-Matrix.

what is the sensitivity on the carrot stix and is it worth it i have so many rods that are suppose to be sensitive but they are not granted i havent payed over a 120 on one but still thank u so much and im looking at the e21 original that retails for 150

i feel that i have an excellent combo for jigs and texas rigged worms , it is the 7' XH fast action Carrot stix (CLTX701XH-C) paired with a REVO SX 7.1:1 , it is VERY SENSITIVE  and has got a ton of backbone , i just love it 

i have the 6'9 mh original and it is very sensitive.  My dad was trying to set the hook when the jig was going through brush.

that's not my experience at all , i had 30 lb. powerpro on that rod for over a year fishing it almost everyday during last summer and fall with no guide wear at all , i almost prefer them to ceramic rings cause they don't break and fall out when your guides get dinged against something , now you notice i said ALMOST  ;D ;D

I have the 6'10" medium heavy carrot stix gold I like it more then the other carrot stixs I have tried.  It seems to balance better and has a faster tip.  Plus I prefer the cork grips.  You might be able to find one on the boards for 150 if you look.

I hear ya but I only strung up fluro on that set up. Braid never touched that rod. This happened from holding my jig in my left hand a pitching my bait. I honestly love my Carrot it's light and very sensitive, but they should have used better guides.

x3 but mine is paired with a Curado 200E7. Very light rod, and great backbone. I have also used this rod to do large lipless cranks and some small swimbaits. Very versatile. No problem with the guides either (using P-Line CXX).

($120) Shimano Citica 200e baitcasting reel.

($100) St. Croix Mojo Bass 7' medium or 6'6" medium/heavy casting rod.

Carrot Stix are a little too "gimmicky" for my taste.
