I was using a mh/f rod for the latter part of last season with no ill effects. I was throwing in some heavy cover, but all were dinks and relatively close to where I was wading, so I didn't have much of a fight.

Check out e bay or BassResource, they will have some good deals. I just picked up a  mojo flippin stick for $95.

check out the Okuma EVX 7'6'' telescoping flipping stick . you won't find a better rod with better components and better warranty for $90.00 !!!!!

I use a Mojo 7' Heavy rod for frogs and it doubles nicely as a pitchin' rod when the frog bite ends - if there was one.

I just found a 7'3 H vendetta for $64

Has anyone used MidwestHuntersOutlet.com? The only problem is that they dont have a fishing section where u can click unless you search a product into google and then it pops up. This leads me to believe that may have previously had fishing products but got rid of them and now they are still showing up on google

Lamiglas Excel is a nice option as well. I got the 7'3" MHF model. It will handle 1/2 - 1 1/2 oz baits and should be perfect for what you're asking, it's what I bought mine for.

Honestly i havent heard very good things about them. Too heavy and too whippy  :-/

Well they sure ain't no gloomis or nothing but for a hundred dollars i like em better than my falcon originals. i have heard that they're heavy and the only one heavy to me is that senko rod and it feels heavier than the flippin rod
