What's the bottom line on this? I keep seeing references to guys using glue on baid/mono knots. Some say to help smooth the flow through the rings, others that it holds the knot better, etc.

Anybody done any definitive tests, with different types of glue?

Lets hear it. Glue; or no glue. . .

Overkill. Tie a perfect knot and you will never have

an issue. Although the Palomar is King, several other

knots work just fine. Pick a couple you like and master

a few.

For single hooks I tie the Palomar Knot.

For treble hooks, 16-20. This knot really shines with fluorocarbon.

For braid, San Diego Jam.

Mono to braid, Alberto's Knot.

Line to spool, Arbor Knot.

All useful and fun to tie.

I actually tie everything with a trilene knot, i have for years and I have faith in that knot. I will tie a palomar knot for only drop-shotting rigs. Well because they require you to.

Uni to uni with a touch of super glue for braid to mono for me.

Palomar or the Fishing Fool knot and a uni to uni and NO glue

Glue is, as Roadwarrior said, OVERKILL. Learn to tie your knots so that they come tight in nice neat coils when tying the uni to uni and you will be alright, if it can handle a tarpon or snook (speaking from experience) without issue it can easily handle a bass.

I'm also a big fan of using a bimini twist to no-name for joining braid to mono or flouro.
