Saros F/ Mojo Combo

Featured Replies

Just wanting opinions on a Saros F (not sure what size) and a Mojo 6'8" MXF.

I'm looking for a set up to throw lighter, more finesse type stuff.

Right now, I have a Citica E on a Mojo and I want to get a spinning reel. My current combo dosen't really like the lighter stuff.

Thanks,

Scott.

yes the citica isn't really meant for weightless plastics and light baits.  The curado is the one for that matter.  As for the saros it's a really good reel, you won't go wrong if you have one.  Get the 2500 size since you're fishing for bass, or you could opt for the stradic CI4 which is by the far the lightest spinning reel you'll be holding in your hands.

For about the same price or a little more, I'd opt for the 6'8" MXF Avid and the Shimano Sahara. When it comes to finesse applications, you need a light sensitive rod. The reel isn't as important as the rod when you're talking about spinning gear, imho, since any spinning reel will do well casting light lures.

sounds awesome. I have a Saros, but havent had a chance to use it yet. Some other rods that are well spoken of in the $100-$120 range are

Lamiglas Excel - shares blank with top line Lamiglas rods, Lifetime warranty, made in USA

Falcon Bucoo - made in the USA, five year warranty, very light

Shimano Compre - Lifetime warranty, Shimano so its quality

oh yeah and im not sponsored by them or anything but Lakeside Reels has amzing deals and FREE SHIPPING!
