Yesterday, I picked up the first fish on the 3rd Vendetta rod in my arsenal, the VTC69-6, a medium-heavy, fast taper rod.  I had pitched a jig with a Sweet Beaver trailer into a patch of lily pads when an 18" pickerel attacked it immediately.  It was nothing but my reflex, the rod's response and a the Revo STX 7.1 retrieve ratio and it was the machine.

I'd been searching for this kind of combination for quite some time; light enough for a day's worth of pitchin', limber enough to skip jigs smoothly, sensitive enough to feel what's going on and powerful enough to set the hook deeply. 

As mentioned above, I have several other Vendetta rods, the 6'9" drop shot spinning, the 6'3" casting and the 7' crankin' rod.  The drop shot rod is very sensitive.  I've used it with baits down to weightless Flick Shakes and Super Crosstails with 1/32 nail weights.  It's got the power to control a fish, as well.  The 6'3" casting is working extremely well as a topwater rod with Pop-X up to Giant Dog X.

I'm waiting for the opportunity to pick up some fish on the 7' crankbait rod.  You can feel deep diving crankbaits very well, it's still a bit early around here for optimum conditions.

i want to get a vendetta but no sure which one to get I usually fish spinnerbaits and texas rig with the occasional crankbait or topwater

I have a 7ft MF casting Vendetta, I love it. I committed a sin to some but it has a Citica 200E on it and its my favorite combo.

The 6'3" casting feels like it is part of me, Ive never been more accurate with another rod.  In the hand it feels lighter than my 6"3" Legend Tournament.

I totally agree with you.  I'm loving how the VTC73-6, which is a MH moderate taper rod.  It allowed me to handle the last two big gurls I was able to land with ease.  Now I just want to get my hands on the VERITAS    I have some plans for a custom painted reel for that rod

I'm using the 6'6" medium Veritas.  Excellent for shallow cranks.

One thing to remember, these rods are following up Steez, Evergreen and Megabass rods.  Not an easy task.

Yep, I am buying one next week too! Like I need another rod :-? ! My wife will not like this, but like I say, it is better than setting in a bar and wasting my money!

I started with the Vendettas as an alternative to bringing high $$$ rods to tournaments and to fill in spots in my arsenal.  For example, I don't toss deep cranks very often, I'm not going to drop a ton of money on a rod to do it.  Based upon previous experience with NICE Abu rods and what else was available, it was a no brainer.
