7' MH Bucoo and Citica combo

Featured Replies

Since *** is having this memorial day sale I figured now would be the best time to finally make my first real rod an reel purchase.

So far I'm thinking about getting a 7' MH Bucoo an pair it w/ a Citica.

What do you guys think? I'm open to any other suggestions as long as the rod is between $100-130.

Thanks!

Not recommending any of these, but the Daiwa Tierra reel and Revo S are other favorite reels in that price range.

i like the Falcon Original over the BuCoo. imo the BuCoo is a rod trying to keep pace with the Jones.

i like the reel.

FWIW, Daiwa and Shimano products are excluded from TW's Memorial Day sale.

I'm a loyal TW customer, but you can easily find a better deal on a Citica 200E if you check Ebay. Their price on the Bucoo isn't bad, though. Especially after the 15% discount and free shipping.

I can't comment on the rod, I don't have one. But I have both a Citica 200e and a Revo S. Between those two I would easily go with the Citica.

Yeah I saw that about what brands are excluded in the sale, that sucks. But yeah I'll check ebay an some other sites before I buy from TW.

I love my Bucoo, extremely sensitive and well built. You'll love it trust me ;)
