I've been torn between the Shimano Crucial and the St Croix Avid for my next casting rod, but there is a new player in the mix. I'm looking for any and all feedback on the new Duckett series of casting rods. I'll more than likely be looking for a 7' MH. Anyone get to try one of these out yet?

I remember reading an article when they first came out where Duckett said he used a cheap blank for the rods to cut costs.  I don't remember where it was from but I read it here after they were introduced.  I've never fished one but personally don't like the white blank and yellowed epoxy

I bought one about a month ago for top water, 7ft med casting. I stuck a Core on it and love it. Very light weight and have had zero problems out of it.
