Can anyone recommend a cheap Ultra-light reel, for $25 or less? I do have a Gander Mountain store near me. Thanks.

Sorry, $25 won't get you anything but a headache. Scrape up another $15 and get one of these in the 20 or 25 size. An amazing reel for the money. Mine's going on 4 years old and hunreds of fish and is still purring along.

+1 on the Trions. The Agility reels don't look so bad either, but I've never tried one.

For $35 I would also recommend this one in the 500 or 1000 size.  I've had one for a while now and love it.  And when I was researching it, I couldn't find a bad review on it anywhere.
