Wright and McGill Skeet Reese model rods?...

Featured Replies

Anybody fish with these??  Are they any good?  I was looking at the spinnerbait/worm model 7' ft. They have these on sale at Collinsville AL. Trade day for 70.00.

the spinnerbait worm is so whippy, its not good for spinnerbaits and is too whippy for plastics, i suggest looking at the lamiglas excel on ***.com, its $110 and imo, it is 110 times better than the skeet reese and yes lamiglas has a spinnerbait/worm model

I have all models except for the crankbait model. I have had nothing but great success with this series of rods.

That particular model is a great light crankbait rod.  I bought it specifically for that purpose.  Over the last couple of months, I have been using it to chunk 1/2 and 3/4 oz. spinnerbaits and I have to say it has done a fine job with that as well.

While I wouldn't use it with a worm (although I'm going to give it a try next weekend), it is a good rod for the above things.  I've also used it a bit to throw a Spook.  Didn't do bad with that either.

i have that spinerbait/worm rod and i bought it specifically for the scrounger. i love it. i throw 12 pound xps flouro and i do very well with that rig.
