Cabela's sale.........

Featured Replies

Got my Prodigy rod during the sale n picked up the PDC705-1 MH/MF to use as a crankbait rod. It's a very nice rod at that sale price point and works great with shallow to medium cranks.

Already picked up one of the Quantum Superlite's....

Will they honor the same prices in the stores?  I have to drive right by one next Tuesday.

I picked the Prodigy up instore and it was marked down to $59 but I would take a printout of the page for whichever rod with me just in case. I have had to do this before with something that was on sale on the web but wasn't marked down in the store and they gave me the web price.

Recently,  Cabela's in Owatonna MN had a stradic/ Cabelas xml titanium combo for $199.  I'm not sure if this is still on,  but it was as of a couple days ago.  They normally sell the rods alone for $189.99.

Thanks Chicity.

The Prodigy reels are such a scorching deal on sale, I can never resist.  Bought another caster already and will likely pick up another spinning soon.  Can't beat these reels at sale price!!

Agreed. I bought the 7'heavy for pitching and i honestly dont even need to look for a replacment for the next ten year. This rod is so light weight and you can feel EVERYTHING

Thinking about getting a superlite spinning rod. How do you like yours?

Thanks Chicity.

No problem oteymc and hope they have what you are looking for and was thinking about a carrot stick but the all star asr is also looking good.

on top of their sales, if you're a club rewards member (free), they'll periodically email you discount codes. the current one is $30 off a $150 purchase.

when does the sale end? any one want to loan me $80 :) ;D

Are they comparable to the Trion, or the BPS pro qualifier? Never used one before, but they look like a great deal.

I have a Prodigy baitcaster which are made by Daiwa and its a great deal and great bargain at the sale price.

I have several prodigy baitcasters ...they are made by Daiwa. I have owned and used several baitcasters thus far, including shimano citica 200D, bps pro qualifier, revo s, revo sc, revo sx, pinnacle inertia?, and I think the cabelas reel stacks up very nicely, at least as good as most, and in my opinion, better than the pro qualifier.

For 69.00 bucks, you would be hard pressed to beat it. Again, this is just my opinion.

I just picked up a 6'10" casting XML.  Its a MH pitch/flip rated for 3/8-1/12oz. lures.  ALL xml rods are $69.99 currently.  They are normally $139.99.  IMO you couldn't find a better rod for $69.  I asked my buddy who works there, "why the sale" and he explained that they just have way too many in stock.

Great pickup during the sale and I have 4 XML rods myself

Well that is certainly a good recommendation. I may have to try one paired with an XML rod, that combo is on sale for $119. I have been really happy with my pro qualifiers, but with these being $30 cheaper, I don't think I can pass it up.
