I have a brand new ST Croix Avid 6'8" EX fast spinning rod I bought for soft plastic. The problem is that I have two many soft plastic rods & would like to know about other presentations that this rod will fit before I unload the Avid.

That is one of my favorite rods for top waters...especially those like X-Rap walks or even a subwalk.....also a fairly good rod for tubes and lighter jigs....at least I think....and as you already know a good rod for plastics.....

I use mine for light t-rigs, shaky head, and small finesse jigs in light cover.

good for top-water and skipping under docks 8-)

So top water baits are effective using a extra fast tip.

Alot of people prefer an extra-fast tip for topwater, jerkbaits etc. But its all personal preference.  8-)
