rod repair question

i have an old all star titanium telescopic rod that was givin to me by my dad but its handle is falling apart. the whole  end is covered with ducktape holding it together is there anyway to fix it. i dont want to get rid of it since they dont make them anymore

Sure can (with rod building experience quite easily) but if you don't have any rod building experience, it would probably be best if you search for a local rod repair person or rod builder (usually connected to a local mom&pop tackle shop) to do the job properly.

You Could possibly just convert that rod into a skeleton handle. I know there is a few DIY's on here about that conversion.

i checked the rod its broke threw the blank

As a rod builder I will add..

Yup you could do a split grip conversion on that rod. But be fore warned you will change the balance of the rod and what ever is eating your cork will not stop....

is there anyway to repair the blank core

With the cork deteriorating and having been taped over, I'd have the whole thing replaced. As RM suggested, I'd look for a local rod builder to do the repair which should be fairly inexpensive. If you feel like you want to take this on, there are a couple ways it can be done. PM me if you want and I'll try to help.
