Bucoo good for jerkbaiting?

Featured Replies

I was wondering if the 6'6" Med Bucoo would be good as a jerkbaiting rod in addition to cranking and treble hook applications. Thanks.

Yes. I own a Bucoo and am very satisfied with them

I would see no problem. I do however prefer a faster action for jerkbaits.  My cranking and jerkbait setups are separate.

I know jerkbaiting and crankin are a little different and I expected that kind of answer but Im just tryin to find a setup that would be good for both since Im on a budget thanks though ;)

I would say that model would do just fine for jerkbaits.  I have the 6'6" MH model and it is not good for jerkbaits.  It just doesn't feel right.  I believe the lowrider I use for jerkbaits is a 4 power fast action.

The bucoo you are talking about has a m to mf action.  You shouldn't have a problem working a jerkbait with it. ;)
