Would this rod make a good overall rod for t-rigs, wacky rigging, drop shots, shaky heads, etc?

I recently sold my spinning rod because I felt like I was missing too many fish due to the soft tip so I'm going to try a x-fast tip. I was wondering how the tip action on this rod is? It'll be paired up with 6lb mono.

Yes , but why mono ?

I've had some really bad experiences with braid on spinning reels and have given up on them. If I was able to manage braid, I would've kept my other rod and maybe the no stretch would of helped with my situation.

I don't like fluoro and it costs too much.

I've been using the same McCoy Mean Green Co-polymer line for 2 seasons now and it's been great. I haven't changed it once on any of my reels. It's strong, low stretch and absolutely no memory. I left a spool on for over 8 months and was very fishing able. I did pick up a bulk mini spool so I wish to put it to use. Is there something wrong with 6lb or using mono itself?

I've been doing absolutely fine with this line on my other spinning reel (I have 10lb on it) and baitcasters.

McCoy co-polymer is great line but I've never used anything under 10#.

i have the LE version and im not sure if the action and tip stiffness is the same but i assume it is so...

i think it will be great for all the above. i like a stiffer tip for t-rig but it will be fine as long as youre not using thick hooks or huge plastic.

give invisx 6 or 8 a try with kvd line and lure conditioner.

I have two of that exact model. Bought both when St Croix changed blanks and everybody clearanced "em out.

I fished with one for about two hours, and gave them both to my wife. I couldn't stand the grip. It is way too small. Gave me hand cramps trying to hang on to it. She likes them just fine, but her hands are about half the size of mine.

As far as the action goes, it's a good rod for plastics. Very sensitive, a soft tip, and nice backbone. You will like it for any contact fishing, as long as the small grip doesn't bother you.

Odds are that you're going to love it. I just picked up the LTB version for my "all purpose" spinning rod after reading a ton of reviews on here. I like the split grips, so I went with the LTB. If I was going with a solid grip, I would have pulled the trigger on the Avid. Most people tend to love them.

I guess I'll be heading to the tackle shop this week to get a better feel of he rod. Thanks for all the help.
