Crankbait rod

Featured Replies

Ok what would you consider a deep diving crank bait? 15ft plus? Im looking for a crankbait rod for fishing 10 to 15ft diving crankbait. Would the St. Croix Legend Tournament LTBC70MMs be good for this? Also any other idea would be great thanks.

Probably, as long as you stay under say13-14 feet. If you are going to throw deep cranks, 15+ I think you better move up to the big cranker (ltbc70mhm). As far as other rods, and this one may be a better choice if you dont mind length. The Dobyns 804cb. There is a tread going on right now about it. I'm thinking of sending my 805cbrm back and swap for a 804cb. The 805 is ideal for deep cranks only, the 804 is better suited to handle the mediums and still handle the deep cranks too. I hope it has just a little more give than the 805.

A lot of hard core deep crankers like fiberglass rods. Mine is a Lamiglas fiberglass custom.
