I just broke my carrot stix rod and I am sending it back to get a new one. I am looking to get a rod thats good for light line and small baits. I would like something that i could use as an all purpose finesse rod. Small worms, small jigs, wacky rig, shakey head,(maybe drop shot) i know one rod is not the best for all of these but im in college and the wallet is tight.

Your help would be much appreciated

Shimano Compre or Crucial depending on price range is what i'll recommend 

I like a M/XF or M/F

Finesse fishing is how you use a bait. Any bait. You can drop shot into matted vegetation.  You can finesse a 1 ounce jig. 

check out the Falcon T7 Split Cast 6'10" Med Hvy. IMHO falcon makes the best rods in that price range
