Ive been waiting for Daiwa to come out with a left hand in there steez 7.1 but no such luck as of yet.  I was wondering what would be a great reel to match with my steez rods?  I have a couple core 51's on them now which only does 28 ipt and the regular steez does 26ipt, so not much difference.  I'm looking much closer to the 30+ ipt, nice and light and Steez quality.  Oh and also to note that the core reels don't fit secure on the rods, Ive had to use a piece a tape to snug them down.  I contacted both daiwa and Shimano and they both told me that's its the other company's incompatibility.

At any rate, you'll have to go with a Zillion for 30+ IPT. 

Nothing will fit as well or be as light as a steez reel on a steez rod but you will get the 2nd best fit with other daiwa reel models.  The zillion is a good choice.  I have a daiwa pluton on a steez xtra heavy rod for large swimbaits and it fits the rod very well.

I just ordered the XH with the zillion type R, instead of the pluton, im hoping it works nicely. I was pretty sure you would say that steezy about the rods and reels. I would love to put a steez on the other 2, I could settle with the 6.3. Its a magnificent reel, worth every penny
