Daiwa Twithin' Reel???

Featured Replies

Has anyone owned or used the Daiwa Megaforce M100TSH reel with the twitchin' bar? If so I would like your opinion of the reel.  I was considering picking one up.

Everyone i know that bought one said it's crap. The twitchin bar malfunctions and the reel locks up. My advice to you, buy a reel without all the extras and small gimmicks. The stuff that you actually need in a good reel will be better quality.

I tried one out.  Absolutely hated it.  That goofy little bar got in the way more than anything.

I've got one and have had it over a year. Fished with it exclusively for about four months. It was ok for twitching weightless senkos. I've since moved on to AG Revos (premiers and stx) it is an ok reel especially if I need to have an extra combo for a buddynthat wants to tag along with me.

I bought one for my boy at Christmas.  He thinks the twitchin bar is cool,  but I didn't buy it for that reason.  They were on clearance at the local Mills Fleet Farm for $35 and I thought it might be a decent quality reel for that $.  It won't be used till spring though.

My buddy has a Left Hand Viento that he uses for pitching. Since he pitches with his right hand, he doesn't have to switch grip, and he can engage the spool and take up the slack with the twitch bar.
