I have a carrot stix that's the cranking model. It has a parabolic action. The thing that i was wondering is if you can use it for other things besides just cranking. I know that the action of the rod helps in cranking but if i was to use it for some other things what would be good techniques

My buddy has the 6'9" and like is for some Topwater baits.

You can use a rod for any technique, but that doesn't mean it will do just as good. It like this, you can beat a nail in with a screwdriver, but a hammer would be much much better.

As to answer your question though It should be good for treble hooked baits.
