3 flippin and pithchin rod length and power with what gear ratio and pound and type line

give me some ideas of what u guys are running in these set ups please and thanks

- Worm: like finesse? or senko?. my finesse plastics rod is a 6-8 MXF with 10lb braid and a 6lb flouro leader on a spinning settup.

- Spinnerbaits: 6-6 MF with 30lb braid & 7-0 MHF with 30 lb braid as well

- as for pitching and flipping that all depends on what you'll be throwing, i have a settup for frogs, jigs, and then plastics. Those are three pretty basic pitching/flipping setups

1. 7'MH-H/F-XF, 6.4-7.1:1 reel, 12-14lb CXX or FC

2. 7'MH/F, 6.4:1 reel, 12-14lb CXX

3. 7'6''H-XH/F, 7.1:1, 17-20lb CXX

X2 except for the line.

On my worm rod I like to use 6 lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid.

On my spinnerbait rod I like to use 30 lb PP.

On my pitchin rod I like to use 50 lb PP.

Please please please do NOT use any braid on your spinnerbait rods!!!!  My suggestion for the spinnerbait rods is 1 6'6" MH and one 7' MH with 6.4:1 on both or one 6.4 and another 7.1 or 5.1 depending if you do more shallow fishing (7.1) or deep slow rolling (5.1).  15lb CXX on all of them.

Why not braid? I barely have to set the hook with spinnerbaits now.

A little stretch in the line allows fish to inhale the lure more deeply, resulting in a better hook-up ratio.  You can always use a softer rod with braided line to compensate for this, but generally speaking, braid is not the way to go with reaction lures, IMO.

Kind of why I said that I barely have to set the hook now. With braid you don't need set the hook hard at all, it's like the fish set it already.

Just my opinion.

Setting the hook is not at all important when fishing almost any moving bait.  The problem with braid is that its too sensitive.  You know when a fish hits a spinnerbait and there's almost a weightless feeling right before the ker-chunk?  With braid, you feel that 100% and its far too easy to set the hook too soon.  I love braid as much as anybody out there, but it has no place in spinnerbait fishing IMO.

Well whatever works for you.
