Daiwa 50th anniversary Zillion

Featured Replies

I have one of the red Zillions new in box and was wondering what I could expect for an average resale. Ebay's completed listings dont help much.

I will assume its a righty. I would think $225 - $275 would be ball park? They have a loyal following it should retain its value well.

Yeah, it's a righty.  If its not worth more than 300 I will just keep it and fish it.  I just thought the limited edition status eould add to the resale.

That was just an estimate based on checking around a few places.

Its a sick reel and won the TT high speed challenge so who knows.

Sub $200.

Sub $200.

X2

A brand new Zillion is only $270 at TW, and even cheaper on Ebay. A quick Google search will also turn up dealers offering the 50th Anniversary models for ~$250.

I'll give you $150 ;D, I think anywhere from $185-$225 is a fair price, right now there is one on Ebay that has a bid value of $188.00 and closes in 3 days, keep an eye on that one and offer it up in the flee market for 5-15% below that for a quick sale, its a really nice real.

You won't see $300 at this time.  Might get $300 for it a few years from now if you don't fish it.  Personally I'd use it.  I have a left hand model and love it.   ;D

The last ones were blown out the door for $199 and some got 20% off that, IIRC.  The last few sold on eBay went for around $180.

Tackle Warehouse had em on sale and a lot of people got em dirt cheap.

Some people collect reels and the 50th anniversary thing may make the reel worth more to them. Others looking only for the higher speed retrieve have the option of getting a Zillion Coastal.

I've seen them go for anywhere from 170-220 depending on condition. The ones priced higher than 220 tend not to sell well.
