I am interested in a good sensitive drop shot rig. looking to spend somewhere between 50-100 bucks on it. was thinking medium light x-fast sensitivity. wondering what you would recommend. also if you have a line preference. I was thinking yo zuri 8lb fluorocarbon. I am matching this up with a BPS PQ reel. thanks in advance for suggestions.

Vendetta or Veritas are tough to beat for the money. I like medium / fast for drop shots but everyone has a speciality.

I use a Shimano Compre spinning rig and will use 6# Yozuri ultra soft this year. last year I used 8# InvisX but didn't care for the line that much.

Some people also like braid with a pure Fluoro leader as well.

My dropshot rod is a Cabelas Magtouch MGTS69DS M/F spinning rod paird with a BM1000 spinning reel with 30# Power Pro braid. The rod was on sale for $70 when I purchased it a couple weeks ago.

I'd go Shimano Compre 6' 8" medium light. I have the Crucial with those specs which is almost the same rod just with a split grip. Rod is super light and sensitive and you get the great Shimano warrenty.

St.Croix Mojo Dropshot great rod in your price range

Look at the Lamiglas Excel line. There is a DS rod in their line up that suits your specs, but I don't recall its model number. Outside of shimano's compre line, I don't think a rod at this price point gets you more bang for the buck with excellent performance. Lamiglas outside the west IMHO is underrated which is sad because they do make fantastic rods.
