I just got back from a fishing trip and a buddy had the carbon black reel with a sweep handle.  I loved it.  i would like to know if there is a replacement handle for a 250 calcutta and a 100 cardiff and where to buy.  Google didn't gve much info.

sorry but you're gonna be out of luck on that one. shimanos utilize a unique-size driveshaft and only shimano handles will fit on shimano reels. to date, shimano has not joined the swept-handle craze (i suspect because it was an innovation by daiwa, their archrival). and, even if you could find handles with the smaller hole to fit shimano reels, you'd still have to find swept drag stars or be willing to bend yours back with a pair of pliers.

One of the nicest upgrades you can do for the Calcuttas and Cardiffs is put a Curado 200E series handle and knobs on it. Its relatively cheap, and SOOOO much nicer.
