Yum Dancin' Eel

Featured Replies

anyone try these? i bought one for myself and a baby dancin' eel for my daughter and fishing buddy. She especially liked hers because it had some purple on it. I saw them on the TV show " people who fish". I hope I didn't get suckered, but it doesn't really matter because my daughter is happy with hers.

I have a few but have only tried them a couple of times....You would think they would work..

I watched a guy SCHOOL his son with those on out lake last year.  They were visiting from Mass.  I was impressed enough to buy a few this winter.

We have a great tadpole season at our lake,.......the bass LOVE those plump soft morsels, lol.

They are like "freshen up" gum to a bass,...juicy in the middle.

I picked up a couple of these at BPS a few weeks ago.  I can't wait to try them out myself.

I actually just bought a baby eel tonight. At first i thought they were kinda gimmicky looking but I cant see why they wouldn't be worth a try.  Now that I got it out of the box I think they have some real potential.

i got one last year and caught a pretty big bass on it, but haven't fished it anywhere since.

Wow!  I'm blown away.  I have one of the originals from the 80's and I never caught a darn thing on it.   I wish I could return it.  I thought for sure I'd at least get a "gator" on it, but never happened.   I fished it off and on the first summer I had it with no luck.  Has not been wet since.

You wasn't holding your mouth right. :-/

I caught some big bass on the originals. It is a lure that you have to find the right speed of retrieve, too fast and it will roll, too slow and it will dead stick. You just have to have the right thump coming through your line. I have one of the new ones and it looks like it might be a better lure.

Thanks to all who answered. I hope we catch some fish on them. If not, my daughter will still like hers because it has purple in it. It could only be better if it was pink!.

I bought a couple this winter too.  I figured if I was having one of those slow days they would be just the kind of crazy bait to put a couple fish in the boat.
