Does anyone have any tips for which lakes may produce at Busch Wildlife? Thought about giving it a try over the weekend.

I fished there probably over 25 times last year.  Most of my time was on 35 though.  When I got bored I would hit up 31, 33, 34, 36, and 37.  

Is there anything your wanting to know speicifically?  

Thanks for the reply.  I welcome any and all tips you may have.  What lake would you suggest?  I thought about just throwing a jig.  I need to practice and if that is all I bring, it forces me to practice.

Any specific spots on the lake?  thanks again

I fished out a Busch several times last year and have fished out there all my life.  Lake 35 didnt look too good last year. I fished out there one morning at didnt even get a bite.  Maybe it was me or the just that particular day

I recommend more than anything just getting out there and figure it out for yourself.  That place gets hit hard (to the tune of 125,000 visitors each year for fishing, not sure how much info I would want to give up on a public forum.

But because I am a kind hearted person I would recommend the d**n/spillway at lake 33, the rock jetties at lake 28, and the C & R lakes.

In 06 lake 35 had a large fish kill, due to the low water levels and hot weather.  Went on it a couple of times last year, didn't do all that great.

That lake does have some pretty good size muskie in it also.

Lake 35 used to be the best lake there until something happened to that lake. I asked them about it early in the Spring of 06'. They said it was because of low rain. LOL. No way 1/2 the lake is drained because of low rain. There was a lot of construction up by the dam.

Anyways I go 33. If you go to the west end of the lake it is shallow. However you can still catch them by throwing a jig or a trick worm in the brush. Once the spring hits BIG shallow running cranks and tube baits work well.
