    yep fished the LBTA winter series in 06-07, and last time I fished was early february 2008.  That syphon puts a ton of freshwater in the marsh and some heavy bags have come from there (18 #).  Some people actually run from pearl river to there (2 hrs one way) if the fishing is hot.  Better have some braided line and bring a gps and map, easy to get lost.  You will not find alot of people on this site that know about LA bass fishing try a website for Louisiana Sportsman, you will get better info.  Where you from?  Northshore here, send me a PM if you wanna chat.
