Does anybody here fish in the nebraska panhandle if so what lakes?And what techniques do you use?

my wifes parents live near scottsbluff and i have been looking for a good place to go when i am up that way. all i ever do is  get stuck trout fishing. where in the panhandle are you?

I go to a lake that is a few mins from scottsbluff called minatare. There are smallies in there but no largemouth. i also fish Box butte reservoir, and the lakes in bridgeport.Box bute has largemouth but no smallies.and bridgeport has largemouth only also.

i fish mostly smallies here in ks. I have been to minatare but not in years. might have to give it a try next time i am up there. september most likely. I just fished box butte in may and we caught a few there. didnt have a boat so it makes it tough. I bet minatare could be pretty good. let me know how the fishing goes up there

Well in minitare my friend has caught a few smallmouth. The only times I have been there I have gone with my dad and he likes so walleye fish so we went for walley .I haven't done any bass fishing there so as of right now I don't know where there catching the bass so if I catch some bass up there next time I go I will tell you. At box butt what fish did you catch and where? oh and have you fished mcCaunhihay if so how is the fishing there?
