Have you ever fished a touramnent with a canoe? I will be fishing one this weekend and I plan on useing my canoe. what are the pluses of doing it this way? if any?

one of the reasons i have gotten so used to it is probably because I fish off shore. And I have had this rod for a long time. if I had a boat I would probobly use more rods.

I have heard countless times that its best to have a many rods set up with each different lures for different situation. but I have one rod, an old abu garcia cardinal spinning rod. Its my baby, and its feels like its an extention of my hand. and i dont like to use any other rod other than this one. Am I the only one like this?

I am new to baitcasting, and I recenty bought a new baitcaster. I am used to the tradition spinning reels, so i figured a left handed baitcaster would be the best choice for new reel. But after trying it, it seems more awkward than anything. My question is how many of you use left handed bait casters? And does it work better for you?

I guess I need to experiment more. I have plenty of different baits. just whenever I use them I feel like im not fishing it right and give up.

I have three basic confidence baits: senko, texes rigged worm, and spinnerbait. these have worked for me countless times, but there are times whe the fishing is tuff and they dont work for me. i dont know how to use other baits and techneques effectively. so i always feel at a loss when my go-to baits dont work. I know there is fish, im just unable to get them to bites. Do any of you ever feel this way? have any of you ever been here?

I plan to fish a golf course here soon, the water is very cold and very clear. Fishing is only allowed from sunrise to 9am, so it tends to be very cold. The highest temp for the last few days the temp has only gotten to 40 degrees. Any advise on what depth to fish, what to fish? Thanks for the advice.

I have owned one for a couple years now. I use every once and a while, though im not very good with them. I have always wondered what make them so much better than a regular spinning reel? what are the advantages of using them?

what about a anchor rig? something that makes useing the ropes and anchor with less rope all over the canoe. also im looking for some good rod holders, I thought about pvc piping.

I just recently purchased a canoe, its a basic canoe. I want to add somethings to make fishing form it more effective. any ideas?

The lake still is big, there is just no longer any visble structure. The lake is about 20 feet at its deepest. Also I dont have a boat. im fishing on the shore.

I fish a lake that has some great bass fishing, underwater trees and plenty of vegatation....of course this is only when the lake is full. The lake is used for irrigation and when the lake is drained, although never draned completely, it can get pretty low. which makes it hard to find any structure and hard for me to find bass. I know they are there. just not how to find them. any advise?

Thanks guys, I just bought the yakima standard canoe carrier for my maxx. the only problem is i have a window on the top of my car, like a sunroof but it does not open. Also whenever I tighten the starps it pushes the roof of my car down and makes a little dent. Any ideas on how to go around these problems?

I just recently bought a canoe, and I need a roof rack for my malibu maxx or just someway to carry it. I dont know where to look or what to buy. I have seen some different things online and I would like your guess's opinions. Thanks

I fish alot, but the only thing that I realy catch fish on is the senko. I start out using something else. But when that fails (which it usualy does), I turn to the senko. The only other lures that work for me are spinnerbaits. It is realy starting to make me mad!

Ok in a few days I'm am going to be fishing this lake, Its deepest point is 13 feet. It has alot of weeds, Lilli pads and moss, this lake has been known in the past to moss all over . ill be fishing from like 4 to 11 at night. the highest temp for that day is going to be around 84 degrees. So i was wondering if you guys have any advice?

Ok what fishing spots should I look for in the summer. Im fairly new to bass fishing and not very good at fishing deep water so can you still find fish shallow in the summer?

Ok so there are these ponds I fish and I get a few small 8-12 inchers every time I go, and when I get on a big lake with alot more bigger fish and less tiny ones, I get skunked. I dont know what my problem is, I Read books on bass fishing, watch fishing shows and read the fishing tips on this site all the time, but i can never catch fish at big lakes or big fish at small ponds. do you guys have any advice? OK, Monday the weather was sunny, temp was 95. Tuesday was sunny, temp 92. Wednesday was partly cloudy, temp 80. Today was cloudy, temp 65. And Friday is supposed to be cloudy with a little rain, temp 67. Would Friday be a good day to go fishing?
