Toledo Bend Style Buck Brush

Featured Replies

I have an old friend of mind that lives in Larry Nixon's old place. It is just north of Pendelton bridge. Anyways he used to get all gushy talking about using a heavy sinker pegged to a big craw worm  and slinging it in the buck brush. I forget what he called it. Was this just one of his deals or is this a common technique down yonder?

Flipping a pegged craw or other soft plastic down here is a pretty common pattern.

Flippin' & Pitchin' Buck Brush absolutely will not work ;)

Nope, I heard some old timers tried it years ago, but gave up on it as too demanding on equipment, and tackle...

LOL.

I don't fish without having at least 2 rods set up for flippin buck brush. That don't count my rig for punching grass beds either. So far most of my fish this year have been on Bama Bug colored paca craws.
