lol  yea  the creek eddie just below the launch  i think they call it the catwalk or something   at the very back end they were catching a few crappie  so i dont know maybe the fish are used to the cold water and are starting to get ready for the spawn

idk  there is a long period of time between ice out and the spawn   im hoping to go out this weekend to see it   they are calling for a lot of rain this week so maybe it and the higher water with more current might clear most of the ice   who knows

welcome to BR big

hey fishn   is bigseth your friend that fishes rivers?

all the lakes here just got unfrozen! went out yesterday and caught 32!!!! :) It was freakin amazing!!! I'm pumped for this year already!

Went out today not so good, cold front blew in last night and i went to a different lake and caught one and missed a few.  oh well i taught my friend how to fish a jerkbait and he caught one on that.  2 fish total for a day with a cold front on a clear cold lake? I'll take it

hey sorry for intruding on your conversion but hey brett  what were u using, what presentation and what depth where u fishing when u caught 32 that day?

well i caught my first ten on a red rattle trap it was crazy i caught ten in my first 30 mins there.  Then i lost that when a fish took it under a tree, it musta been a bad angle.  Then i switched to a clue and chartuese manns 4- and caught the rest on that.  I was fishing a couple flats and places where I know the fish stage when they're getting ready to spawn with a couple straglers just randomly around the lake.  It was muddy so the water temp was up to 50 i'd guess. it was a blast until it started raining lol. oh well i stayed and got soaked it was worth it

o ok  nice   im going to be in baltimore all this week so i wouldnt get to go but im hoping to break out the boat friday or saturday

lol i think i'll wait a few weekends for the boat and take advantage of the prespawn bit on the local ponds. the action should be heating up soon, its alwaysa good way to dust off the skills after winter
