Pa bass waters ranked by density.

Featured Replies

I'm probably going to regret this latter, but here is a list of the top lakes in Pa to catch lotsa bass.

The list goes by density which means the lake could have a ton of tiny bass, or a few really big ones.

The list is more for quantity than quality I would guess.

WARNING!!!-If you decide to print this out, it is 33 pages long!! I found out the hard way. :o

I saw that list before. How on Earth is PIB only #10 on the Large Reservoirs/Lakes list? It should be #1...in the world. A 50 bass day is not uncommon. Also, How is Peters Lk Rs No. 2 make #3 on the Small Reservoirs/Lakes list? I have never caught a bass there and have seen a few very small ones in the shallows. (Disclaimer: The above statements are based off of my experience only and are just my opinions)

I have fished Raystown, Sayers, Wilhelm, Yellow Creek, Beltzville, Mauch Chunk, Promised Land, Pecks pond, Lake Minisink and the Yough. I have heard amazing things about shenango, glendale, and marsh creek. Zel would know more about marsh creek. The lakes I listed that I have fished are all great lakes with healthy populations!

Some of the reports are off though, they have beltzville listed as smallmouth only. There is a huge largemouth population there. Also 947 acres seems off.

Also they have Promised Land Upper as ranked in the 70's. That lake has a ridiculous amount of fish in it. If the report was quantity over quality it would be top 10 for the Medium reservoir section.

Overall this report was very interesting thanks for posting!
