I was at a Sports Authority this afternoon and they had all the Storm lures buy 2 get one free. I see these huge Storm Kickin Slab bream lures!

6 1/2oz and 7+" long.  The biggest lure I ever bought.  Anyone have any experience with these.  They were $6.68 each with the sale.  

Anybody caught anything on these? If so, how did you fish them.

these lures suck pretty bad. they have about 0 action. just my experience...hopefully you will have better ones.

Sure would like to know if anyone has had any luck with these. Kind of hard to believe that Storm would market something like this if it was really a terrible lure.

Maybe someone else has found a method for these.

I haven't used the kickin shad, but if its anything like Storms other swimbaits, its mostly likely junk.

Some people like these storm baits.  I'm not one of them.

hookemdown, im sure you mis-typed, but there is no such thing as the kickin shad.

there is the kickin slab (bream lure) and the kickin minnow (baitfish swimbait)

the kickin slab has no action. it sinks very fast. way too fast. in order for me to get the slightest amount of wiggle out of it i have to be reeling it in very fast. so fast that it isnt in the strike zone long. the plastic is so tough that the "joints" in the plastic do nothing, except take away from the overall durability of the lure.

the kickin minnow on the other hand is a great lure. it sinks kinda fast, but not as fast as the slab. it has great action. the plastic is soft and the joints make it very lively in the water. only thing is, since the joints are very thin, the lure is not durable. only a few fish on each bait. since theyre pretty inexpensive i suggest picking up several kickin minnows.

most of storms stuff is very low quality and pretty bad. the slab is one of them. the kickin minnow i like. but i dont like much else from storm.

You mean the one with the lip and the body joints? I got one once and it spun around like a helicopter. Not how its supposed to work. The wildeye shads with just the hook and paddletail are ok.

I don't like any of the storm swimbaits except the wildeye shads.  Great action and catch fish like crazy.

If you are going to buy Storm, but their crankbaits, they have a nice wiggle, I like them more that the Bandits.

I heard that the strom soft plastic swimbaits that imitate Sunfish or crappie catch fish, but they fall apart easily. I heard the tail falls off after a couple fish, leaving the bait relatively "action-less" Since the thumping tail is the only thing the gives the bait any atracting properties, other than a dead still fish getting pulled through the water.

If I were you I'd stick with soft plastic jerkbaits, or save up for a couple real nice swimbaits.

I was watching BAss pros this saturday, and the long haired dude with the earings(don;t know his name, but anyone who watches bassmasters or bass pros will know who I am talking about) He was using a large bluegill imitator, and the thing looked amazing in the water, and when he stopped his retreive the bait would turn around 180* and "look back" at any following fish. I think I'm going to purchase 1 oe 2 nice swimbaits and toss them on my striper rod and see if I can get some trophys this year.

10" Kickin' Minnow in Perch color, decent, cheap muskie bait.  They dont last long though.

Those storm slabs do suck.  I agree that it has no action unless you are reeling it back real quick.  Might work if the bass are aggressive.  You can't present it slowly.....

It was a sick bait though, I wish swimbaits weren't $50 though

oh my god i saw a preview for that lure on tackletour and it looks so sweet!!!!!! they are expensive though. too much for me. :-/
