Centre County PA

Featured Replies

I am currently a student at Penn State. I am originally from Northeast PA. Due to living in State College year round it is hard to get out on the boat other than for tournaments. I would really like to find a fishing partner in the area. I fish for everything from trout to bass to stripers. I am looking for someone to fish with that knows the area. I would be willing to travel and pay partial gas money for a boat. If anyone is in the area please PM me.

I am kinda in the area, I'm here in Juniata County. Maybe you can come along on one of our float trips. We usually have a float trip on the Juniata river.

I live in Altoona and do some fishing in your area. I mainly fish LM, SM and Muskies.

Hey Maximus, I grew up in Duncansville and graduated from Hollidaysburg HS.....

Small world, huh?  Where are you fishing up there?

Sure is, I am actually a transplant to here (wife). I was born and raised in Philadelphia, moved here about 5 years ago.

I been fishing mostly, Glendale, Black Moshannon, Canoe Creek, Raystown, Juniata River from Huntingdon to Lewistown, Juniata Around Bedford. Still a bunch of other places I want to check out, when time permits  :o

Glendale is a nice lake, a little big for the 20hp restriction.  Definitely some big fish in there, especially the musky.

Canoe Creek has some absolute pigs in it, just gotta hit them right.  The spawn there can be pretty amazing.  Great place to bowfish for carp too!!

River trips are a great way to get out of the heat. Most of my fishing has been done down around Mount Union and below the dam at Raystown.

My Grandma lives on the Juniata River between McVeytown and Mt Union so I am very familiar with that area. I use to stay at her house all summer long when I was kid, the fishing on that section of the river was a lot better BEFORE all the camping area's were put in, and I got my uncle to thank for one of those  ::o

I managed a 44" ski out of Glendale the other day clear up Slate Lick, darn near in the creek. What a fight that was with all the weeds, stumps, and junk.
