Boater missing on Stafford pond/Firefighter dies!

Featured Replies

Just saw the news, a boater went missing on Stafford Pond. A firefighter from Tiverton who lives on the pond died while diving for the body! What a friggin bummer! They're continuing the search today for the missing boater.

Lets say some prayers for the family's of the deceased!

The body has been retrieved. 39 years old. Rest in peace.

I keep saying that I'm gonna invest in a self inflating PFD. Pretty dumb for me to have gone out by myself yesterday without one.  :-[

Tragedy X2.....

That pond has just as many rocks as bass....tough to navigate during the day. I can't imagine at night. Thoughts to the families.

PS

Matt, I'm gonna get one too. We both have kids and should "know better" than to go out alone without one. I do it too, but this gets me thinking. I have the belt device, butit is manual inflate. Better than nothing I guess.
