Yes you do an if you don't have one you have to take a pre test then a classroom test as well. No more online tests.. I'll be up at wini next week and I have my RI boating cert. It covers the NH requirements..

It's on Reed St in Rehoboth.. It's also know as Shoe Factory pond.. Big fish in there as it is fed by the Palmer river and shad... I have fished from shore and got a few.. I fished down near the waterfall with jigs.. black/blue... Also been there with the boat. It's real nice from shore earlier in the year.. David

Motor ran good last year.. I put in stabil over the winter.. with a full tank of gas. This year I have been out 3 times with the boat and twice have had issues. I've just recently started fishing salt water with it. 1st issue was motor just died and wouldn't start back up.. it would crank and start to fire then it would just die. got the boat home put the muffs on it and started/ran fine.. Today.. Went out to the salt again.. motor fired right up. Making our way out to our fishing spot 1mi or so.. full throttle motor just dies.. Start the boat back up would run from 15 sec to 2min and then just die again.. so I turned the boat around and got back into shore.. Brought the boat home hook up the muffs and start/runs fine ... Anyone know what type of problem this could be.. (overheating?? ) Bad gas.. Not sure about the gas because when I run it at home with no load(muffs) it runs fine.. This is on a 1995 Mercury 50hp 4 stroke. boat is a 18 foot tracker. Any help would be appreciated.

Here in MA/RI 1- 4 feet. is what i've seen. At work we have beds in 5 inches of water...

You can have a few different options.. Lunker only fish.. or 5 fish per boat is how most do it. anything over 12" Normal tourney rules apply..

I wouldn't mind doing a weekly T one night during the week.. That would work as well like a 3 hour tourney 5-8pm or so. That is another option.

What Side is the T on.. Big or small. I was supposed to have a small tourney with the guys at work.. want to make sure we can fish the small side..

The Swansea Dam is stocked with trout.. I'm not sure about this other pond you speak of. There is the 2nd dam on the north end and connected to the south end is Swan Finishing pond. The only other place in Swansea that is stocked is Coles river and Lewin Brook. I mainly fish Milford (have private access) last few days been getting into them good.

Jigs work at your local pond.. I was there last night and caught one off some wood..

Yeah I went in the crawdad both days.. Sunday I fished earlier (till about 1pm) and then had to setup that swing set that I was working on..

Did you fish Milford?? I was there and didn't get anything sunday.. Sat I caught a 2lber on a jig.. fish were spooky in the back coves..

Bad Luck pond and the shoe factory pond are shore friendly ponds..

I have a Sunsei unit with control module that I plan on using on the boat.. Should have it installed this weekend will let you know how it works..

I looked online and a local company Anchorexpress.com They are the cheapest around as you are getting 10% off.. They are local to me too so I was able to get in in 1 day.. I would go with the 798 without the nvb and then buy a new premium card from navionics.. If you need any other help let me know.

I just bought the 798ci.. That means it has an internal antenna.. the c model has and external antenna that needs to be mounted. I bought the SI model and have heard wonders about it. Basically the consensus is buy the biggest screen you can if you are getting a SI based on your budget.. If you only fish one place SI could help but I couldn't justify that type of money to not use the gps functions as well. The transducer on the SI is normally harder to setup because it has to be able to see out the side of the boat.. The instructions that come with the unit are very extensive.. I'm going to be spending a week on a lake this summer and I will not have any type of ac available for charging my batteries. I currently have a dual pro charger for my two trolling motor batteries. I also bought a solar panel with a charging unit for the cranking battery to keep it topped off. Does anyone recommend a DC Alternator charging system that would charge all 3 batteries from the motor alternator. I have looked into the Stealth 1 Charger and the Stay and Charge systems. I would also like the ability to have my batteries charge while i'm towing the vehicle if possible. The Stealth1 system would fit what i'm looking for as it has a dc/ac charge and has the setup for a car alternator as well but it is mighty expensive. I have seen the Minnkota dc charging system as well. Does anyone have any recommendations on what system to get? Thanks David
