Upper Potomac question

Anyone been to the Potomac in the Seneca area? Thinking about heading there for my first river trip in my boat. A little concerned with water levels since a few people talk about how hard the upper potomac is on boats. Its a 14ft jon with a 25hp motor. Prior owner says it needs about 18 inches of water. The current plan is to head upriver to the 3 islands, anyone got any thoughts?

Wish I could help you out on this one! That's the lower Potomac compared to the part I fish. I haven't fished the Seneca portion yet. According to the gauge I currnetly track, the areas I fish in Washington county are SUPER low!!! Hopefully, someone else will be able to give you some input on that section of the river. Good luck!!!

Thanks Basser, little worried the water is to low to try my first time on the river especially since I fish alone. Need to figure something out though, really want to give the boat a run soon.
