Bass off in CT

Featured Replies

I agree with Tin, its just been a messed up year from the get go.  Last August was a great month of fishing this August one of the worst months I can remember.

I did have an Epic day on Saturday, the first really epic day since June.  :D

Why dont you elaborate on it a little?

15-20 smallmouth all between 2 pounds and 3 1/2 pounds mostly on topwater but some also on drop shot.  Then mid day I got 10-15 largemouth all about 3 pounds on drop shots in the middle of the lake in 28 feet of water where I usaully catch good smallmouth.

Then finished the day with 2 4 pound largemouths on topwater on consecutive casts.  Only bad thing that happened was on my last cast I lost my favorite Spook on a pickeral.   Cut 17 Ib mono like it was 2 Ib.

The best day I have had on the Cape in a while.
