Thinking about heading up there on Friday for some creek fishing. Does anyone have any experience fishing this? Maybe a suggested spot or two for good wading?

I was fishing the Monocacy just this weekend in Frederick. Going downstream from the bridge on Creager's town road in Creagerstown park.

That part of the river has always been good for me, there's no fishing pressure. Just a hint, if you do ever go fishing there hike though the soybean field because that straight stretch of the river is no good IMO though I have caught bass there. There are bigger ones waiting for you further down.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that there is a gun club nearby, hearing gun shots is common.

It can get tough but its awesome fun when you get into a group of fish. Water level/Clarity changes a lot though. After a good rain, the water turns to chocolate milk.
