Anyone Fish this lake?

Yes, it is a tough lake when you are unfamiliar with it and sometimes even when you are accustomed to fishing it. What do you need to know? I'll do my best because the patterns seem to change on this lake on a daily basis.

Quick question. You mentioned that you were fishing a tourney on Rocky Fork on the 13th, correct? I was also planning on fishing that same day there and was wondering if you had any idea of how many boats were in the tourney and what ramp you are going out of?

that lake is like 5 minutes from my house.  i fish that lake every weekend.  i have never been on it with a boat though. i fish from the bank.  i have caught my share of stripers, LM and SM and occasional crappie.

Sorry I missed this but have been off for a few days.  To answer your question now that the day in question is almost over:  the tourney has been postponed until April.

That's a tough lake for Bass.  Lots of crappie and catfish though.

I am going to make a point of learning this lake this year( at least attempt to learn it)  I talked to a local pro early this year and he assured me there were a lot of bass to be caught.  Although they have seen just about every lure manufactured.  He suggested several deep diving cranks.  Hope to try those out soon if the water temp ever gets up.

Went out to EF yesterday.  Water temp was 49 to 54 depending what part of the lake you were on.  Water was very stained to down right muddy.  Just had 1 bite.  A lot of crappie fishermen were out and everyone I talked to hadn't caught many.

What part of the lake do you fish. I’m new to fishing. Haven’t been for 20 years. I’ve picked random spots to fish for the past week and haven’t caught a single bass. Any tips?
