Hoosier bass'ers, I hope your having more luck than me?

Featured Replies

I'm just curious how my Hoosier bass fishing buddies have been doing in your neck of the woods?

I haven't got to go as much as I'd like, but its been a very slow year so far in the southern part at my local watersheds. :-/

My best time in recent years has been a few years ago. We fished a lot on rainy days then, and had several days when we caught our limits (and released) of 3-4lb bass. Last year, in early spring I caught one bass 5.3. But, this year, not too much at all yet. How about you guys in other parts of the state, how are you doing this year? Thanks :P

Been doing OK numbers wise but only a few over 15 with the biggest, so far, being 2.5 lbs. My buddy who fishes tourneys hit one about 6.5 a couple of weeks ago. I figure it's just a matter of time before I hit a couple of bigger ones.

My numbers are down and it's also dink city for me. So far this year 16" tops.

Well Skillet, up north it has been a great numbers year so far but no real size to them.  My best this year has been a 3-10 smallie at the end of March.  Now that the spawn is mostly over the bigger bass will be in their summer patterns and ready to be caught.  Good Luck down south, I'll get down there to Monroe or the pits a couple times and try my hand at getting a big one or two.

Been a little slower than normal here on the central IN lakes this spring due to the clearer than normal water, but life got a lot better today when I caught this 6-04 bass from a small public lake today  :P.
