Lake Sunapee Info

Featured Replies

I am thinking of going up to Lake Sunapee for an overnight Friday and was looking for any info I could get on the lake. Is it worth the 90 mile drive from central Mass or is there another place that would be better for Large Mouths.. I would like to stay about 2 hours from central Mass as I live just about 30 minutes east of I-91 and about 10 miles south of the NH border.

Thanks for any info

Yeah, man, Sunapee is real nice, you'll love it. I haven't fished it for years, but it always gives up nice fish from what I hear.

Sunapee is good, but for some LMB's I would go to Massesecum in Bradford.  It would be a little shorter drive for you if you come up 93N to 89N to Exit 5 to Route 114, and it's got a good population of LMB and SMB.

good luck!

Largemouth are very scarce in Sunapee. You rarely see even one in a 50 boat tournament.
