I just wanted to let all you PA.guys know(if you didn't already) if you are in a small boat,or trolling motor only boat, that there are all kinds of good fishing in James Creek.Aitch connects to James all before the "no-wake".We were down there yesterday, doing some boating and swimming, but I was also checking out fishing spots. You don't need to stay home if you have a small boat, hope to see all you guys at the meet. Thanks to Nate for getting it going. :o

Hey no problem. I can't WAIT to get out on Raystown again. It's been 2 or 3 seasons since I have been up there. We have a lot of good guys coming too.

It's good to hear there's been good fishing around that area. Some of the club tournaments I have seen from there have produced some nice fish!

I am really hoping to run into some stripers when we go up there.

I got a little something yesterday that they may find interesting....

I'm seriously thinking about just targeting Muskie or Stripers. The Stripers should just be starting to come out of the depths around the time we are going. You might find this useful:

I'm no striper expert, but it seems like they just love anything white. Throw them a nice big old white bucktail!

Think about some bigger swimbaits too Nate. Storm baits in the 4-6 inch range have worked for me.

There is a lot of nice water to fish from a small boat on that lake. Coffee run, shy beaver, aitch, plus the top end above the weavers falls boat launch (thats a little more river up there though!)

Swimbaits?

Yeah, we can do that.   ;D

Thanks for the tip! I have some 6 inch and 4.5 inch Shadalicious swims (Sexy shad and Neon ghost minnow). I may get a few hard swims from TT before the trip, but I have to watch because my Jeep (which is my tow vehicle) is leaking gas out of the fuel filter and I need to save to fix that (shouldn't be more than $50 so IF I can do it myself :o ).
