Has anyone ever fished Powells Creek on the potomac river?

    I've been in there a few times.  It's hit and miss for bass, but there are plenty of snakehead.

    I've had better luck for bass on the grassbed out in front of the bridge before you enter the creek.

    At my last tournament I caught a 2.5 pound bass on a Zoom Super speed craw in the wood past the bridhe, but am wondering what other lures I should try

    Yea, I really need to catch five, the one fish I caught from there was the only fish I caught (besides a non keeper I caught from there).......... I tried a horney toad and a speed craw.......
