Fishing around Orlando?

Featured Replies

I'll be in Orlando for a week early in January. Anybody have any info on boat rentals, small lakes to fish, etc?

I may do a guided trip one day. I'd prefer to get a small boat, on a small lake, on do it on my own.

Thanks for any info.

Cheers,

GK

East Lake Fish Camp - Big 5 mile diameter round lake.  20 minutes south east of Orlando.

Turkey Lake Park - electric only lake big enough to take a week to fish.

Google them.

Hi Gary,

you're going to Orlando too early. Cindy and I are going to be there on 1-30-08 until 2-5-08. I'm looking for the same information. Our granddaughter is dancing in a national competition that week. We were there two years ago for the same reason and I just fished Lake Toho from shore.

I would try to schedule a "Trip Of A Lifetime" with George Welcome at Stick Marsh/ Farm 13.

There is a pontoon boat rental place on dead river, between Eustis and Harris.  That is about an hour NE of the Orlando Airport.  I will get more info Sat while I'm there if you want.

I will also be prefishing Johns Lake in Clermont in early Jan and you would be welcome if you wanted to tag along.
