is anybody familar with lake gaston(va). I have a club tournement there april 13th and I'm dying to know more about this lake. The information online is horrible!! Any help would be great!!!

    Check out that website, they have some decent information.

    It is a very good crankbait lake. Don't pass up on your jigs either. The jerkbait bite should be picking up very very soon, if it's not already on. If you have any specific questions I'd love to help you out.

    thanks..ill be fishing there april 13th so do you think the spawn will have started by that time...

    i was thinkin fishin the beds with tubes..senkos...shakey heads

    maybe a topwater bite in the morning...i hear that lipless cranks are great  in gaston

    any perticular spots/patterns that really produce come april ???

    Well the spawn should br started by then I believe. Right now the temps are in the low 50's. Shakey heads work well on Gaston, and I do extremely well on jigs. Lipless cranks are great, and last year I had a ton of luck on suspending jerkbaits. Couldn't really tell you any specific patterns...sorry.
