Your a fisherman all right.  Ok, I know wnat a "beaver" is now how about some ideas.  Have you ever spend 8-10 hours in a 12 foot boat trying to find bass?  If you haven't  believe me, it's not the easyest day you've ever had fishing.  Even when you have good seats.  What do fish out of?  What area of the country do you fish?

Welcome :) I fish southwest VA also. My grandpa and I fish out of a 9'6" boat so I know how you feel. Do you ever fish the Big Cherry, Keokee, Wise area? If so were fishing the same waters.

tanother sitenor, I have spent lots of 10-15 hour days in a 10' and a 12' jon boat. I've even done around 36 hours a few times. Time flies when you are having fun. I fish a lot of small waters in the central Va. area.

i have a 10 foot jon....and i love it...i usually fish by my self though.....

I may have given you guys the wrong impression.  I don't really mind fishing from a small boat and I don't mind fishing small waters.  At least we don't have to put up with the skiers and jet skies.

I'm looking for ways to improve the fishability and the comfort of a little boat.  I've got a foot controled trolling motor, good fishing seats on short risers and a small sonar unit.  I also have a good trailer and can launch by myself when necessary.

The biggest problem is it hard for me to work artifical baits while setting on my butt.  I would much rather stand and fish, I just think its much easer to work lures.
